Vendors seeking independence from Samsung

Report that the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC is looking for new suppliers of components for its devices, trying to reduce its dependence on the components of Samsung. This move was made by HTC after a similar Apple, when the latter decided to order the components from different vendors, and even something to make yourself rather than under an almost total dependence on one supplier company. Probably, HTC solidarity with the Americans, which is understandable.

Rumor has it that HTC started ordering screens and sensors for their devices from OmniVision and Sony instead of Samsung, as part of orders for AMOLED took AU Optronics. But part of orders for AMOLED screens is still performed by the company Samsung. At the moment, Samsung - one of the largest electronics manufacturers in the world. If you come back to Apple, they turned part of orders for flash and RAM from Samsung for its iPhone 5, but not completely. But now among the allies Apple to supply components for the iPhone can be found and other names, for example, Toshiba. According to sources from Reuters, the move is not related to Apple patent fight with Samsung, which runs between the two companies around the world, but just a Yabloko insurance against possible supply disruptions because of possible problems and failures production of a single supplier.
